Ready to explore all of the things that make “New York, New York?”
Presented by Citizens, “The Living Portrait of NYC” exhibition does just that by immersing guests in an interactive installation all about New Yorkers. This free experience will run from September 18th-27th and all you have to do is reserve your free tickets from their website.
Read more: The Living Portrait of NYC, by CitizensOnce you step inside this experience, you’re surrounded with strobing lights and documentary style information presented through sight, sound, music and live entertainment. I loved seeing the different boroughs displayed on the screen as well as the common understandings that New Yorkers share about our cultural communication.
As a native New Yorker, this exhibit leaves you with a feeling of pride growing up in the city that never sleeps. After exploring the different gallery rooms, the last exhibit is the most fun. Guests can go inside an interactive booth, answer a few questions and their picture and personality is analyzed on a projector as shown below.
